Help New Computer

So i'm thinking of buying a new computer, i've tried running After Effects and doing, for example some basic motion tracking in a MW2 Video, and it's near on impossible, it took me over 3 hours to do, should really take about 10 Minutes, made me think i need a new computer. I will post the specs of my PC Here, and give me a good suggestion on what specs i should get to run for example, Call of duty 4 (No trouble) on my computer.

Operating System: Windows Vista Home Basic (6.0, Build 6001)
Processor: Intel Celron CPU - E1400 @ 2.00GHz (2 CPUs), ~ 2.00GHz
Memory: 766MB RAM
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce 7050 / NVIDIA GeForce 610i [APRX Total Memory: 378MB]
Hard Drive: 160GB

I'm looking to spend around £300 - 500

Requirements:
- Big Hard-Drive (250GB+)
- Must be able to run CoD4 (Easily)
- Windows Vista
- Reliable Make

If you can help me, i'll be extremely greatful,

Just a partial idea: I reccomend a nice computer with a decent processor, very good graphics card, and try for about 1GB of RAM. As for the hard drive, it might be cheaper to go external. Just an idea.
